A downside is the noisy fan in the room, which often drowned out the calming sound of ocean waves. Getting to town can be a hassle due to the poorly maintained sand road.

WARNING ! Extraordinary Violent Waves.. Please be aware, the waves at this location are literally deadly.. , if you are expecting a relaxing archetypal beach experience i.e. swimming in the ocean, laying out on the sand, find a different beach.. we found out that the "other side" of the island is "for swimming".. this side is interesting as a natural phenomena, the roughest waves ever, walking on the beach is ok, pictures are ok, but swimming is extremely dangerous.. my girlfriend nearly died, lost consciousness, and nearly every local had a similar story and experience... to make maters worse there was little warning, Oasis unlike a neighboring property Hummingbird, either to warn of the extreme danger or advise what to do if caught in the currents. The Oasis is clean, however the design of the rooms offers Zero Privacy, nothing is sealed, the rooms are completely open to the deck, only shades can be shut to allow some degree of visual privacy, but as far as sound you may as well be living in the same room as other guests.. We had an unfortunate incident on the last night of our stay... upon being informed my elderly dog ( who has since moved on to heaven ) was not eating and feeling well, I became upset.. the owners who seemingly have no conscience, morality or sympathy.. interrupted my conversations, claimed I was causing a disturbance, threatened to kick us out of the hotel in the middle of the night and subsequently turned the internet off for entire property preventing any outside communication... this sort of egomaniacal behavior is also exemplified by the fact that this review has been taken down twice, and will assuredly be followed by a dishonest response as before, these there are other one star reviews on Expedia but across much of the web the psycho owners have pressured sites into taking down negative reviews giving a prospective guests a false impression and literally endangering those who wish to stay at this location and enjoy swimming in the ocean... and to be clear... to stay here would be a horrible choice ... avoid this place, do some research elsewhere, the water is dangerous, there is no privacy, and the owners are dishonest..

A queen room with armchairs on the veranda in front has basic facilities you need. This property is in a beautiful location, close to ocean and nature, the best beaches of the island and the garden behind. The stuff are reasonably good, and the host too.

ideal spot for beach access and exploring nature
I loved being just a short walk from Bluff Beach where I enjoyed fine sunsets, and the nearby Plastic Bottle Village was an eye-opening experience during our three-night stay.

The place was reasonably priced. The rooms were tastefully decorated and brand-new, complete with all the surrounding sounds of nature, delicious breakfast plus nice bathrooms, and with smoke detectors for safety measures too. The staff were excellent and efficient all the time.

A magical wildlife encounter
Every morning, we were greeted by monkeys outside our window, while the staff treated us like family. The food was of high quality, and the beach was fine, just steps away!
The road to the hotel was a bit rough. While the warmth and comfort of our room were great, we found the absence of AC was great.

In a secluded location across from a fine surf beach, the warm hospitality creates a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The main highlight was the delicious mahi mahi served for dinner each night, which I couldn't get enough of. Although the road leading to the hotel is rough, the vibrant experience, including local wildlife in the yard and a beautiful pool nearby, makes the journey worthwhile. The lack of air conditioning and sporadic Wi-Fi could be improved.
